I Miss GuyFawkes (sort of)
« on: February 27, 2013, 07:32:23 PM »
Was searching for something unrelated and came across one of the memorable GuyFawkes post that is particularly appropriate today:

The guy certainly had his moments, and I miss his bombastic presence.

Me too. Nothing like some gory pics of guys getting tangled up in lathes to wake you up in the morning. I know, I'm just bottom scum.

He was very entertaining, and he knew a thing or two about practical matters as relates to mechanics.  Sure used to enjoy the rants he'd go off on, especially the one that seemed to go on forever about whether rigid or resilient mounts were better for a Lister-type engine.  I suspect he probably had to get a real job and he's gotten too busy to blog on here.

Newbie here, but I've read a lot of lot and lots of the old posts by GuyFawkes, as well as many other original members here that have contributed so much knowledge, so many informed opinions, and a lot of sometimes crotchety individualism!
Great!
