Lister CD manuals etc
« on: July 14, 2011, 03:39:53 PM »
Hi,
I'm a newbie here and have recently bought a 1935 Lister CD # 352691. Can anybody advise me where I can lay hands on or download any manuals or spec sheets to assist me in re-building and maintaining the old girl?

I believe we have 3 different manuals for the CD. The best one is designated US Navy Blackstone  and is of excellent quality (best I have ever seen for the WWII era) very thorough and explicit and plenty of pictures and diagrams of everything in your engine... as a reprint will cost you $40. As far as electronic manuals go, we do have some of them scanned. File sizes tend to be excessive for normal electronic transmission though. I am not sure where other CD resources are located at present unless Smokstack or the Forbes museum site might have some.

Thanks for the info Dieselgman. Does the US navy manual cover the same spec as the 1935 UK version?

The Navy manual was a special publication from Blackstone for the CD supplied to USNavships. I have not reviewed the specs but the Navships manual is excellent.

Does the Navy manual also include the Lister CE. I'm in need of manuals for this engine.

Thanks
