Found this on CL tonight. Not mine and have no information on it, other than what I read on their posting.

"I have a very nice condition, British Lister engine. These run forever, and sip fuel. Perfect for running a large generator head, or pump, or whetever. This one was pulled from a military trailer, and has provisions for electric start already mounted. High quality motor, that probably has very, very, little run time one it. Hard to find a Lister now that isn't built in India, or run to it's death. Come an take this so I can free up some room in my shed. Engine Placard reads 6.15--3600rpm. Fine quality engine."

if it runs, and you have a use for it, i would say it is an excellent deal!

otherwise, its just another piece of iron laying around.

That engine would be a Lister Petter AC1 (series 1) engine.
Series 1 engine are indirect injection, and require a shot of oil in the cylinder head to start from cold on the handle. They are are a good engine, but at 3600 RPM are very noisy.
