Mystery chinese engine [to me anyhow]
« on: June 01, 2012, 09:30:46 PM »
Just bought a genaric everlast EV6500LDE generator for $200.00 150 hours on the meter. The problem is the generator end casting appears to be egg shaped and allows the rotor to rub the stator,I have a hunch its a common problem.I bought it for the engine, looks almost new with starter. There are enough parts on the enclosure and control panel to make it worthwile.Anyone know who makes the engine 10hp air cooled. Not up to speed on the picture thing. Thanks Frank C.

I don't know about longevity but everybody and his brother sells parts for them on Ebay.
I bought one a year ago to play around with. It's your typical "Joe Homeowner" generator.

3600rpm, NOISE maker

I have a genuine L100 in a generator, parts availability is good.
