Now don't let's all stumble over one another to grab it!

 ;)
Ashwamegh 6/1, PowerSolutions 6/1 "Kit" engine, and a Changfa R175a that looks like a Yanmar I once knew

I would love to have it, but I am still trying to figure out where to put my 8-1.  I have just about everything to get it going now, except the base that I need to build.

That's a nice looking clean engine.  Original Lister?  Even more impressive.  Anyone have any idea of the year?

I asked the seller to send some info, so here it is.

Hi Derek, thanks for the interest. The plate that was on the crank case says CS6-7585, SPEC 5/1/35, HP 6, RPM 650. On the crank case it has 8-2 101 in raised letters and below that DE9. I hope that helps.

Thanks.  Look at the base on that thing!  I can see both pro's and con's for a base like that, but really what got me is I have not seen one like that for sale with an original Lister.  Looks OEM to me, but I am no expert.

Checked on the auction again this evening.  The engine has been sold.

Hmm,  I might want to rethink my price structure for the next one I "find" ;)  That was a nice unit though and the cast base sure would save some work when mounting up the gen head. Stupid me watched one of those bases go to the scrap man at an auction last winter >:(

Save that old iron! We have a standing order with our local scrap yards to set aside any Listers that come in. They are still showing up here and there and deserve a better fate than a quick ride to the Chinese smelters.  :o
