Kit container has landed
« on: May 26, 2012, 01:26:19 AM »
Well, it has been a long and frustrating delay waiting for customs and shipping and the like... but our new container from India has arrived! We have been fully restocked at our Kansas warehouse on all things Listeroid as well as replenishing our standard Lister parts stocks. I could not believe how thorough US Customs and Border Protection was with this container! They completely unloaded more than 26,000 Kg and a very difficult job at that (it was 100% stuffed and had zero pallets or skids to allow forklift handling)! They opened almost every crate all the way to the back of this one. Obviously they found no problems or violations and now our recent stock shortages are solved.
This load has the usual 6/1, 8/1, 16/2 kits but also some unusual oversized machines that include a 825 rpm single that makes 20 hp and also a 30 hp oversized twin. If you always wanted a bigger unit, now is the time.

I will post further details here as time allows.

We are shipping one (18/1) over to Butch for his usual analysis - and play!

I will be sorting and checking things over for a few weeks and will try to get images and details posted here.

A little more technical data...

The 18/1 is rated for 750rpm and it also makes 20 horsepower at 825rpm.

155mm bore, 177.8mm stroke - 3353c.c. displacement

241 g/kw/hr - or 177 g/hp/hr specific fuel consumption - direct injection

shipping weight on these thumpers - 710Kg (plus any extra crating and pallet weights)

That's 1570 pounds for us Americans.  3353 cubic inches.  So what's it do in the quarter mile?

if it was horizontal you'd never need a Witte.

Laid on its side - who needs Witte?

Might squeak the tires a bit off-the-line, but I suspect it would do much better off-road.

Most likely from my data... should be in cubic centimeters rather than inches I believe. More like 207 cubic inches.

I am also very curious about these 30HP twins? I have a 25/2 Powerline branded engine now. Have seen the same specs rated a 28.  Interesting engines I bet.
