We also have quite a few of the old Lister books for various SOM and similar types. They have quite good electrical schematics. File sizes are excessive so would have to arrange for access via a cloud service.

At last I have found the time to continue my work on my VA! While waiting for some tune up parts to arrive I had a look at the cooling shroud....it appears that the fan/flywheel has to come off first if I want to paint it easily, otherwise it will get painted as it sits....

Could you give me some info on the belt in your setup?  It looks exactly like what I need for my SOM... ;D

My belt's part number is  2RB103  Mfgr is "Jason" the PN is for a two rib "B" profile and 103 inches circumference, I don't know what profile the SOM grooves are so you would have to verify that, I'm not sure if a bonded 2 rib belt is even needed in your case you may do just as well with 2 individual v belts but that is something you will have to determine for yourself, I picked my belt up locally for $45 or so
