Might be worth asking on the stationary engine forum (http://www.stationary-engine.net/forum/index.php), there's a few diesel fans on there who might be able to help out.
Cheers!
Ade.

I would really like to have a new injector.  Part numbers are;  Holder: BKB80S667  and Nozzle CAV.BDL 150S6017

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Bob

Send me a PM I think I may have a contact for you in the UK who has that nozzle part number as a new item, they may even have the nozzle holder.

The price I have been given for a nozzle also sounds very reasonable  :)

I have been designing the carriage (or trolley for our friends across the pond).  Using this to help with my solidworks skills.

A local sawmill found me some beautiful, clear white oak.  My friend, Jim, planed the pieces to size and I'm fitting all the pieces for the carriage  today.

In the 80's I hunted all over for white oak out west for my sailboat resto and had a heck of a time! Look at you! Nice stuff! I learned in my quest for white oak that in the 1800's a Eastern company started a wagon wheel factory near me in Corvallis OR and soon went broke. They were using red oak from the area and it rots very quickly! White oak doesn't and is super for boats........and trolleys!

Great score Butch.  I wish I had a decent planer.  Cutting the housing joints on the Bridgeport makes for nice tight fits.

This wood is dense and the edges are sharp.  Very easy to hurt the fingers and hands.

Plenty of white oak around here.  Just have to know where to look.

I did a test assembly today.  Now all apart for powder coating.  I'll stain and urethane the wood next week.  Sorting out the cooling system also.

Injector tips arrived from Peter.  Thank you.  Maybe I can make some noise with it this week!

Looking good Bob!  Be sure to get a lot of rest before starting, the beat of my Z4 will put me to sleep very quickly, LOL.

She' a beauty.   I'd love to have your restored Bamford in my engine room!   Very nice cart, too.

Had a rough go at it.  The engine is a little tight from the fresh rings, honed cylinder, seals and bearings.  I can get it spinning but once I flip the compression release it will not go over compression.  Two of us gave it our best but it wore us out.  Also the engine is close to the floor on a couple of 6X6's  Crank center is low so you really have to bend over.  Lastly, I fitted a Lister crank since this engine was missing the original one.  The compression stroke is on the upswing of the crank.  You cannot throw your weight into rolling it over at the toughest part.

So I have rigged a coupling to spin it with a tractor PTO.  Not done yet but all I need to do is finish up the "dog" that engages the keyway.

That must have meant some fairly drastic modifications  ;D
