Not having had the pleasure/misfortune (depending upon your point of view) of dealing with this chap myself (as I have a lifetimes supply of real Lister engines to keep me occupied), has anyone on here ever bought one of these engines?
From reading this forum I also see that he has made some interesting claims for his products in the past.
Before I get shot down in flames I would suggest he has some interesting ideas, such as:
1 ), 90% of all bolts are now SAE standard and grade 8 or better. "usefull for you chaps who don't like BSW and BSF fasteners"
2 ), Reground and hardened crankshaft.
3 ),Cast-Steel idler gear fitted with roller bearing.
4 ).Cast-Steel camshaft gear.
5 ),Custom built camshaft.
6 ),Roller bearings on camshaft ends.
7 ).New American made hardened piston pin.
8 ).Hardened valve seats.
9 ),Steel valve guides "not sure what the benefit of this is?".
10) ,Ported airways.
11) ,25 inch spoked flywheels (250 Lbs each). "Heard of many a poster on here asking about heavy duty flywheel"
12) .Oil bath air cleaner.
Most of the modifications he has adopted are probably required to overcome deficiencies of the original Indian sourced products.
I just cannot see how that can equate to a $10,000 for a 6 HP Listeriod.
Guys I have several offers for this engine and it is going to be sold so if you have interest,
Thanks for your interest,
Butch
Engine is sold, thanks!!
Lucky you sold this engine before he started to sell any of his 2000 engine stock, as it may have caused a severe drop in the market demand for such items
