10 HP Petter mounting
« on: June 04, 2006, 08:15:45 PM »
I read alot about the lister hop, and that they need to be mounted on a slab of concrete with no shockmounts. I was wondering if the same is true with the higher revving Petter. If so, maybe I can use very stiff mounts rather than the usual soft mounts to at least stop the soundboarding.

I can't speak for all of the petter type engines but the ones I had built by LG were smooth runners and the governors worked well. Sid on this forum bought the last few that I had. He can tell you more about the running characteristics of the petter type engines from his experience.

Thank you for your replys. I think I will use my favorite Stable-Flex mounts.
