Prechamber volume

Guys

I wanna do some combustion experiment and calculation heat release with Lister CS 6/1, but i don't know the volume of the prechamber....it's quite difficult to measure.....does anyone here got information or  know how to measure ?

Normal way of doing this job is to put a piece of glass with a hole in it over the thing to be measured, and then add oil or water 1cc or whatever volume at a time until it is full. Oil is kinder to the injector than water. Obviously you have to take the head off first. In the instance of a CS, there are potentially two volumes, CR valve in and out

Sounds right somian... look up cc'ing combustion chambers on the web - probably under racing engine builds and you should find ample description of good ways to measure that volume with precision. Calibration fluid is generally a light colored oil.

If I remember correctly, mine was about 72cc's. Not including the volume of the piston to head and recessed valves.

mine measured 74 or 75 cc including the valve relief

One of heads measured 73cc and the other 75cc - thats probably pretty good Indian control, I guess.
GTC 20/2 down rated to 850 rpm - ST 15
Metro 6/1 800 rpm on cart - ST 7.5

mine was 75cc also....she came from India...... ;D......after comparing with you guys here i felt more confident...thx  ;D ;D ;D
