If I had a Sherman tank that'd be pretty easy to move.  And what would you do it you wanted to start it and Shrek wasn't available?  That looks like a lot of engine for crank start.

Looks like someone has grafted a 3 pt hitch onto the engine mount to facilitate easy movement.

This is Blackstone OP engine, good for about 25BHP. Weight circa 1.1/4 Tonnes, with standard flywheels.

From first hand experience, genuine spares for these engines are almost impossible to find now, but Indian manufactured spares are plentiful (which range from excellent quality to dire, depending on who you buy from). Genuine parts for fuel injection equipment are still relatively easy to find.

It is possible to hand start these engines relatively easily when they are in good condition, though ideally you need to have had a big breakfast before hand, and to have an assistant operate the decompressor mechanism at the right moment. On later engines Blackstone offered an electric start kit as an optional extra, so as to try and prolong the production life of the range, but it was not that successful.

Notice the Lister CS type fuel filter housing, also notice the CAV injector body (identical to that found on Perkinns P series diesel engines).

More information can be seen on Peter Forbes old engine site: http://www.oldengine.org/members/diesel/
