I know you can ASK anything you want,   but does that seem a little steep for a price?      Is there something special about this engine I don't recognize because of my beginner's knowledge?     I does look good though.

Ya, in my book the price is a bit steep but I also have things that can't be bought,, BUT for a price we might talk.  Nice engines as clones go can be had for around half that much and occasionaly a  bargain for less than that comes along.

A bit steep, you can buy our brand new KOEL 8/1s for half that price.

This is just something I found while lurking around on Ebay.  I'm still trying to get my original Lister */1 home from the UK.

where do you have to get an engine to in the UK?  I assume the container unloads in Ks.

All port (Blackpool last time) and loading details are yet to be determined... we will analyze what happens with our current container and repeat or modify based on the resulting costs and difficulties. Since we are using "personal effects" exemptions we may have to adjust to a Pacific Northwest unload and disbursement point for the contents.

I have actually set up my engine to be collected and shipped.  Should be in Houston around August 10th.  I will post again when things get completed with price and how the Port of Houston handles things.  Houston is only about 2 hours drive for me, so it works out good, if they let my "antique" in.

When it comes to international shipping I envy y'all living near ports.  There is nothing near Albuquerque, except maybe the secret submarine bases located along the Rio Grande  ;)

Derek,  You should have no problem with Houston. Just be certain to fill out the EPA exemption paperwork, also the ISF documentation prior to shipment. best to use a reputable customs agent.

After a small hickup, my engine is loaded and ships out of the UK tomorrow.  Will be here in 2 weeks.
