Lister/Petter PC1 part wanted
« on: April 04, 2011, 11:19:28 AM »
I am looking for part number HL232 Dog(Flywheel end starting) according to the parts manual.
This is the dog bolted to the flywheel which engages with the sprocket shaft of  the starting handle drive chain mechanism.
There were two variants available No 232 for standard clockwise rotation(looking at flywheel) and No 232a for  anticlockwise rotation.
I need No 232 clockwise rotation.
Can any one help please?

merkland.

PS Sorry just noticed I posted this in the wrong section.

The Petter PC range was never that popular (particularly in multi cylinder format), as is indicated by the difficulty in obtaining parts. Though there have being a few parts surface on Ebay UK lately.

These engines are very similar in appearance to the Petter PAZ1 engine, and do infact share a few common components (valve guides, and maybe piston rings and valves from memory)

I have an electric start Petter PC2 for parts reclamation if your interested, though the part you are seeking is not present, because it was electric start  ;D.

Send me a PM if this sounds interesting.

The only other option would be for you to try : http://www.petterengines.co.uk/

Have already contacted Jim Perkins at petterengines.co.uk and he does not have this part, thought I would give this site a try.
Thanks for your suggestions.
