What's the thread on the leak off valve?
« on: April 20, 2006, 08:40:14 PM »
Only just noticed my injector unit hasn't got a leak off valve so the
excess diesel is going to piddle out inside the head casing. :(

Hopefully be easy enough to get some sort of valve down here, just
need to know the thread.

cheers

First love - 1975 Lister SR1, gone to a better place (running a saw bench actually ;))

True love - unknown vintage CS6/1 with SOM flywheels

linkie to the project so far --- http://jestersltd.com/pics/index.php

Lister owners do it at 650 strokes a minute ;)

Depends on which injector and which engine. Later stuff had 6 X 1mm female thread for a banjo connection, earlier injectors had 8 X 0.75mm or 8 x 1mm hole, fitted with an adaptor which gave a male cone end for the leak-off. I believe that the adaptors may be available from our local injector guy who has lots of older stuff upstairs :-))
