Favorite "supporting vender"
« on: February 25, 2011, 05:08:01 AM »
Do we have any venders on here that also suppport the site? Either with cash, or information?
I need some CS parts. Pretty simple stuff. I'd like to support those that support us.
I am looking for a rocker arm grease cup. Some lines, external oil filter. Big question is.. are CS parts compatible with bio? (fuel system stuff?)
Thanks
Steve

There are various vendors who post here, but in all the recent upheaval, I'm certainly not aware of who they are. Andrew (aka T19) might have a better idea...

As for the fuel system & biodiesel; there are no rubber or plastic parts (that I am aware of), so as long as the fuel is pH balanced (not acid), it should be fine.
Cheers!
Ade.

I am not sure who supports the site financially  but Gary at Diesel Electric is great to deal with and supports he site with his knowledge as does  John Ferguson, JohnF( I think)   Any diesel fuel injection shop worthy of the name will have anything you need for lines, sealing rings, banjo fittings etc. Good quality grease cups can be had from McMaster Carr or there are always some old ones on Ebay. I know this will be hard to believe but the Indian cups are a POS ::) You can also pitch the antiquated cup system and screw a std fitting in the shaft and use a grease gun.

I believe mine are 1/8" pipe but I will check to be sure. There are minute differances between Brittsh and U.S. pipe threads but nothing a US std 1/8 pipe tap wont take care of in a jiffy.

Yes, 1/8 BSP.
