today i checked injection timing of my engine and it was 14 CA BTDC.........if i advance i think it will result in serious knocking.......currently my engine run not so smooth and some time knock..........what happened ?
According to the manual, injection should be at around 20 degrees BTDC. The same manual suggests that knocking could be:
a) A sticking exhaust valve being struck by the piston (clean valve stems & guides)
b) A slack bearing (it doesn't suggest which one)
c) Insufficient clearance between piston & head (check bump clearance)
d) Injection too early (doesn't sound like it, in your case)
e) Flywheel loose on shaft... I think you'd know about that one, but worth checking.
