Probably just as noisy as the Chinese engine but look closely this is not a Copy of something Chinese.
This engine is a living fossil, its an in house design based on something like Duetz of that era.

Look at the casting around the mounting feet. The weight 700 pounds in more than Changfa.

I have never seen one in the flesh but as I understand these were Comicon (soviet marshall plan ) all of eastern Eroupe in the 50s. There are a few in eastern Germany that show up at rallies. Thats how I became aware of this engine. I was more supriosed when I learned they were still in production along with a Ukrainina deisel along the same lines ( manufacturer does not reply to email )

Think of this as a Slavia ( Slovak version of a Lister tow flywheel up right ) but only laying on its side and a rip of something western.

now is the time to introduce my latest acquisition now that it create some interest. mine was a 1984 unit seems to have a wider flywheel face. it is also rated at 800 rpm only. the blue engine partially hidden was my NT110 which i had just finished coupled to a ST5.

it also share many features with my Yanmar NT which i believe heritage come from the early German design.

hi Doug

it has not run yet but it is almost identical to my NT except the Andoria has shorter stroke. it has balancing shafts and it is quite well make in general compare to the chinese horizontal single. the gear mesh tolerance is good. i was told you can buy it from a dealer in Italy for about Euro 1500 new.

many of these are used in home make tractor in the Eastern Europe.

Yup these would have been the engines to have for sale 7 years ago before the EPA.....

Oh well maybe someone in Eastern eroup will step forward with some older engines for sale.

I'd buy one of these in a second if we could figure out some way to get them here.

Very nice!

I'd bet all of the tolerances and the metallurgy is how it's supposed to be...

Wow!

I didn't do much research.

They own their own foundry so the quality of th ecast is within their control.
Exports to Asia and western Eroupe would seem to indicate they produce a reasonable quality product.
Price seems to indicate they are not cheap.

Can you get them here.
Ya Its still not that hard to get around rules if you know what you are doing

waking up an old thread

I spent the last day using Google and Google translate to read lots about these engines.

These things have been built for years, at least since some time in the 1950's.  Here is a translated search for "andoria" on the
ebay equivalent in Poland.

Another interesting thing is some Indian parts suppliers also have parts for the S-320.

There are quite a few Youtube videos of Andoria horizontal diesel powered tractors.

I just received the parts breakdown for the S320 and S321 from the Andoria factory.  I figured it might be useful to someone else.  Is there away to attach files, or another place to store files?
