New Member Project Pics
« on: November 17, 2010, 02:51:41 AM »
I'm new at this so I'm hoping this actually works.  The first is the end view from the gen side, the second is the thermostat bypass for tube in hose veg oil heating and the third is the heat exchanger.

Terry I love your landscape. It looks secluded. I wish I could find a place in the country away from everyone. Looks like you have it figured out. Mike DD

Is that part of a truck chassis I see underneath?  Very clever idea!

Hello Sid and Macs:
Yes, you're right.  That's an old 1/2 ton Chevy truck frame in a new life as a Lister skid.  The 3" pipes at each end of the skid also act as housings that I can slide 2 1/2" mobile home axels into for portability.  Eventually I'll build a generator shed with a large concrete slab.  Haven't started it up yet and am very curious to see how well it is balanced.
No Sid, I'm not from the south, just a fan of Hee Haw.
Looks like you have an interesting collection of motors Sid.

Terry you must be from the south. You talked about using mobile home axles on something. Or is that a redneck thing. LOL   I'm both a dam proud so that's why I know. Anyone hear those banjos playing?????  DD  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tqxzWdKKu8

br549// thanks/ I spent 20 years collecting them and then I decided I was getting older and had too many to take care of, so in the last few years I have trimmed down to about a dozen.which is about right. any more and neglect sets in..I have kept most of the big ones and several diesels...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZ4uTPShtN4//sid
