Engine and generator identification
« on: July 31, 2010, 01:55:28 PM »
  HELLO!

This is my first time to post a message so please overlook my mistakes.  I recently purchased a Lister-Petter genset strictly because of what I have been reading here.  I do not know anything about this unit other than the engine starts and runs.  The only numbers on the whole unit--that I can find-- are the following ones that are on the engine: 3903159TS2A00X9.  Could anyone derive any information from these for me?  I would really appreciate any help.  Thank you.   :) :) :)

A picture (or 12) is worth a thousand words (and helps people here identify things)

That is likely to be a Lister-Petter TS2 engine, basically a 20 HP, twin cylinder, air cooled unit and in current production, so you have a gen set of about 15KW output max.
DON'T STEAL , THE GOVERNMENT DOESN'T LIKE COMPETITION !!!
Lister A
Onan W3S Genny
Petter A1
Villiers C45 industrial
Continental flat six powerpacket
ANOTHER Lister 6/1 CS SOM , temporarily !!!
