List

This chap in the UK has just made this genuine CS engined SOM available for sale this is his post at.    http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Lister_CSOG/  Sounds like it could be a good buy for the shipping container.

Hi all, after much soul searching I have decided to sell my Lister 8.1 SOM .The engine has been professionally rebuilt, parts include crank block, bearings guides, gaskets etc etc, flywheels have been re hubbed at a machine shop new gib keys made.Generator 4.5kva requires box on top to be remounted, checked over possibly needs new brushes,no external starting boxes .needs some more cosmetic work to finish ie solenoid mounting plate needs remaking {cracked] .Cast base, ,all serial numbers matching, spent over £800 .Also available Lister 3.1 for rebuilding with cast base and onan generator. Can deliver fifty mile radius Nottingham UK.   Mike

Has anybody heard any details on what is going on with this shipment.  I have an engine that is done and am starting to feel a bit uncomfortable that this isn't going to happen.  I am actually getting a quote to have mine shiped to the Port of Houston and get mine home.

Yes, it would be good to know what is up with this joint import venture! I also have a couple engines lingering over there until something is settled one way or the other.
