If you give up on finding a crank give me a call. I bet I know someone who could use the engine. Mike

Do you have the original crank?

If so, why not just have it repaired?

I am sending crank, cam, rods an barrings to a machinist in Huston who is going to rebuild them. He even rebabbits the bearings. I'm not sure if this is the same person but someone down there rebuilt a shaft from a wind generator with tungsten and turned it down and it has never wore out. There are some pretty old and talented machinist down there that cut their teeth in the oil field repair business. I still had to send the head gasket to Thailand to get some new ones made. So I will have a few to sell for what the cost me. They will be just like original. Mike

Startomatic if you have a line on some CE parts I might be intrested. Let me know. As much trouble as I have had with this one a few extra parts lying around would be a blessing. I hope to find at least one more of these engines. I would be willing to pay freight on a complete engine or two if you find them. Mike

Closest Ive found to a crank is a company in the UK offering to make one for $7000 if I have one to duplicate.

I was looking at buying a lister CE with a broken crankshaft.  Its split in two.  If I take on an engine to restore I would like to be able to restore it.  If not I should let someone else enjoy restoring it.

If you decide not to buy it I could probably use parts for my friends engine.  No sense in it going to scrap. Where is this engine?? How much are they asking?? If you don't wish to share that's fine. Mike
