I've got a load of ST heads on the way. They should almost be to the west coast by now. After that, it'll take another couple of weeks to get them trucked to the east coast and cleared from Customs. I've got 5, 7.5, 10, 15, and 20 Kw models in this shipment.

The CEPA provides an excemption for stationary engines for now.

Thanks for the offer Mike but the shipping might be a killer what do you want for an ST-7.5 on your loading dock.?

Every import experience is different. It seems there is always something that I didn't count on. Therefore I can't set prices until the units arrive. Everything, whether it be generators or engines, passes through many hands on the way to its destination. All of those hands want something! The trick is to get them here with the least hassle possible. Importing has a steep and expensive learning curve.

I think I can sell them in the $275-300 range. All of these have inch size shafts so they will be best here in the US. Canadians are familiar with metrics and the metric bushings are easier to get there. I also get a 77% discount from my shipper, which I pass on.

You are not kidding about the opressive heat in India.  I spoke to my listeroid manfacturer (Power Anand) yesterday and was told that the foundries are having a very hard time operating ...even at night.  Not only is the air temp high but there is a pretty good wind.  Think of the opposite of wind chill.  Because of this heat my order will be delayed a week or two untill the foundries caught up.
