Genuine Lister CD/CE Manual
« on: October 25, 2009, 04:52:34 AM »
Book 145, Lister Diesel Engines manual for CD/CE engines just "fell" into my hands.  I'm trying to figure out what I should do with it.  Is there a market for this type of thing?  Or maybe I should just keep it in case one of these big boys falls into my hands also. Obviously there are some out there fairly close to me or there wouldn't be a manual floating around.

It has serial number "363795" written in it in ink, also "8hp CD Spec 23/20R".  It is stamped "BC Equipment Company Ltd, General Machinery Dealers, 551 Howe St. Vancouver 1 BC".

Anyone with one of these engines that wants a page or two scanned just ask away.  I won't scan the whole thing because I haven't got the time, but I don't mind passing along some info from it for interested persons.

Stan,

The book will say 145/????

What numbers follow the slash?

I might be interested in it or a copy of it if it's different from what I have...

Please let me know.

Thanks,

Steve

I have scans of the CD and CE manuals.  I don't think there is any market for them particularly.

Very few of them around in the US but still quite a few in the U.K. Some members have been recently talking about buying the CD/CE models. Blackstone had a joint venture with Lister during WWII and built these for the US military. There is a primo manual available printed for the US Navy available if anyone is interested.

No luck on getting that rebabbited Steve?

Some good info on bearings here.  Might be worth saving a copy of the .pdf to disk - I'm going to!

Or try these guys: http://www.rebabbit.com/

Another bearing source off another thread here: http://www.vasantbrass.com/product.htm

Crappy website, but you have to put your cursor on the little easy-to-miss "VASANT MENU" on the left hand side of the screen.

The do specifically mention Listers though.
