Fair price for a startomatic base and unknown condition genny?

(1/2) > >>

guyd:
Been offered the above - happy to pay the right money - but neither of us know what is right.

Any ideas chaps?

UK - south west if it makes any difference. Owner has several CS's in various states.

Stan:
That's very hard to answer.  Unless you can find some examples of bases sold recently, it's solely up to "how badly do you want it"?  An unknown genny is probably only worth scrap prices unless you are someone like Doug who can tell if it's rebuildable.  I couldn't.

And, as it happens, I was the lucky(???) winner...

I considered £100 to be right at the top of my range, I think it was at £60 when I bid, which was much more reasonable. Then again, when you've got a SOM which is dragging its flywheels on the ground, £100 seems cheap enough... :)

compig:
it would easily realise £200-300 on ebay.
