I got one of the Honeywell  HW2000i gensets at Home Xxxt, and posted a mostly favorable review at Amazon.   5,000 RPM at full load though.

$99 gen works like a champ, cooked a pot of coffee, and then ran 2 x 48" two tube fixtures a 24" box fan and a 19" tube type tv for over 7 hours on less than 1 gal of fuel. I really like it when super chaep things like this exceed my expectaitions .

$99 gen works like a champ

Two weeks gone by, now.  Is it still working?

S'pose it will be.  Warranty hasn't quite run out yet.

I can't say anything about the gen head but that little engine will run for ever. I have the same 2-stroke engine on a water pump. This little pump moves 10 gal/min 24' vertical, 400' horizontal for hours a day. I have had for about two years with no problem, runs as strong as new. It runs 6hrs/gal. Quite impressive for something that looks like a little piece of crap :)
