I have fallen for that line again. Some one had 20 gallons of diesel fuel. Red in color. Don't know how old or if there is water in it. Looks okay. I transferred it to other containers through a screen which came out clear. Does anybody know how I can determine if is it is usable? Should I add something to it or filter it in some way?
Ha; I had someone drop off an old tank full of fuel from a large truck last, Saturday, quantity, my guess about 50 Gallons and red in color. What to do with it now that it is on my property? I ran it through three filters, thje last was a 10 Micron filter, then transferred by holding the tank up high and let grafity take it's course into the main supply tank for the CS 6-1. It will then be filtered again with the CS-6-1 filter and supply me with a fair amount of electrons.
The only thing I add is Diesel Fuel conditioner every couple of Months during the winter to keep it from jelling.
