I can't even laugh anymore at stupidity like that.

I think people in general are so far removed from understanding things now this seems OK to a growing numbver of people.

I started a little for fellow that involved wiring a compressor for some stuff I wanted ( engines and generator parts ). One thing led to I was rewiring a shop that looked like early Canadain fire hazzard, trying to repair an electric forklift I needed to use ect.

I sunk to that level of stupidity myself standing on a wooden skid pulling cable.
Cutting corners in order to get things to work rather than work right.

And I was to be asked to comeback and do more casue thats just the kind of creativity we need to get back on our feet and push this back log out.....

The hack in all of us is alive and well just waiting for the right conditions of haste, foolishness and desperate need to come out.

I am in such a funk these days with what I see andeven what I am starting to do. Time for a reality check....

It doesn't look like there is enough clearance between the corners of the trailer and the roof of the blazer to turn at all  ??? !!  Maybe they only had to move it a few feet in a straight line?  Maybe if they stuck some wood blocks between the rear axel and frame to raise the back of the blazer up they would get enough clearance to turn  :P ??  Anyway if it was me, I'd get the next size larger diameter S hooks on the reinforcing chains before I'd venture onto the interstate  ;D !!  Safety first and all, ya know...                                       Leland

OK so this is another request of where people are located. I live in Western Kansas . I am curious if there are any other forum readers in Kansas and especially Western Knasas. Thanks, Mike

tacoma washington here, spent 5 years in liberal first half of the 80's, grew up nne of wichita about an hour
and plan on going back there in two more school years.

thats when the kid has to decide how much she wants to continue living with dad :)

stay here with friends and get on with life, or go live out in the sticks offgrid with dad?
hmmmm

somehow i think i already know the answer to that one.

:)

Now Bob... you know we're neighbors... No Really we're neighbors!

I'm located down south of you by about a half an hour. I'm enjoying the sticks about 10 miles south of Olympia Washington.

Was born and raised in this area, I struck out on my own after high school, came back when I was 36, wanted to be close to family, always enjoyed the company of my father and I wanted to share some time with him before the opportunity passed me by.

Have to say I'm much happier up here, spent most of my young adulthood in SoCal, nice place to visit, don't want to live there.

Hi bob;
Murph and Mike;
You should visit Bob. He's got some cool projects to gander at, plus he's a fun guy to hang out with.

Well, shoot, we have enough in the area for a poker game!

Scott, I'd love to drive up and explore Bob's iron pile, just waiting for an invite! But what I'm really interested in seeing is his 5th wheel setup for towing that travel trailer. ;D

I'm game. Let's try to do it in the next month or so. I can make about any day of the week or weekend work out with a little advance planning. Gonna be out of town for a week the middle of September to Colorado.
