Lockerbie bomber...
« on: August 20, 2009, 06:24:40 PM »
Just want to say that I'm outraged at the decision to release the Lockerbie 747 terrorist bomber. The Scottish authorities need their heads examined  >:(
He deserves the same compassion that he showed his victims.

oh i am as compassionate as the average joe,,,

why not release him, put him on a plane, take him back to his homeland
and boot his ass out at about 40k feet?

ok, before anyone gets their shorts in a knot,, i know he would suffocate to death
at that altitude, long before he hit the ground

so maybe we drop down to 20k feet and then drop the sorry bastard.

Nah , give him an oxygen mask and eject him at 40k ft so he can fully enjoy the experience.

Socialized medicine in Scotland or great medicine in Libya?  So you want the people of Scotland to pay for his health problems.  We do the same thing all the time to save money here in the states.

Maybe the people of Scotland are cut from a higher piece of moral cord.

It’s a deal between Kadafi and the British oil companies.  Grow up and smell the roses.

I wonder if he’ll make it all the way back home - - alive?  You'll understand if I get off the plane when he gets on?  The bus?  The coffee shop?

I'm under no illusions about alternative agenda's but it doesn't prevent the feeling of appalled revulsion at the injustice.

The Scottish Authorities need their heads removed.

This guy needs to be sent home strapped inside a cruise missile, that runs out of fuel at 20 K ft and falls to the earth with him screaming..

Or True Socialized medicine and be given a lead injection to the back of the skull

There is plenty of room for all of Gods creatures... right next to the mashed potatoes...

...he's as guilty of the Lockerbie bombing as Tony Blair is guilty of promulgating peace in the middle east. He always was a scapegoat - I can't imagine what made him agree to the deal; maybe Gadaffi offered to spare his family or something.

His reception in Libya is, however, something of a conundrum. Considering Gadaffi is now at pains to make peace with the world (note well his recent meetings with both Obama & Brown), it seems a little odd that he'd sanction quite such a wild celebration at the repatriation of an alleged mass murderer.

My view is this: Megrahi is probably innocent, a victim of political manoevering whereby "someone must be punished". His release & repatriation is - probably - justified. His reception in Libya is, however, mere political manoevering; and wise heads would ignore it. The only question remaining in my mind is: Is his over-the-top reception a message to the Western world (UK/US), or to Libya? My money's on the latter - and woe betide those who ignore it (i.e. Obama and Brown...)

I understand your anger Sid but I wonder what is gained if he dies In Scotland VS Libya?

The only person convicted in a terrorism plot that state sponsord terroism dies perioid.

Much better question is why was no one else ever put in jail and why were sanctions ever lifted against Libya in the first place where the real guilty person is . You know the guy in the dress and sun glasses?

it is hard to explain the beliefs of a southern redneck/ I am one of the few left.my opinion of bombers, cowards, and men that wear a skirts is different from most people. I do not think a person who kills innocent people has any rights.....they have lost their rights/sid

I agree with you but way donw deap inside I  know a lot of inocent people end up in jail too.

So how long has he to live anyhow?

Here in Canada we bring home prisoners with life sentences with some countries her have treaties with. The serve their time here.

I think that might have been acceptable. The way I see it a man about to die might at the end of his life might come around to being a better person and regert what he has done, apologies ect and should be allowed to see his family in the end maybe even in his own country in this case.

Maybe I am just putting my own sensibilities and morals in a place where there is a man who has non. I don't know.....

Nice thing about a southern red neck is you don't question where they stand and that puts me at ease actualy.
Its kind of like being around Salvick people or Nordic people same sort of values social values. Too many people are phoney these days detached and and you can't read them. I hope I never become so jaded and shallow I become like " those people "

The 270  victims and the lifelong anguish and suffering of their families completely transcends the rights of that vile terrorist. The death penalty is the only right punishment.
