We got a four hour outage last month. Just in time, I was feeling guilty about how long it had sat since the last run.  ::)

My power hardly ever goes out here. The very few times it does, by the time I drag my 7kw genset over to the house, and hook it up, get it running, it runs for about 5 minutes, then the power comes back on lol.
Unless, of course, I have it apart for some reason and it doesn't run, THEN the power goes out for hours!

Glad a) your generator worked well for you, and b) no one was injured.

Good to hear your system took care of you, and that no one was hurt.

I live at the end of a dead end county road, only four homes out here, so we're low priority when there is a storm and scattered outages. We average two or three a year, last year we were out for almost a week! Thank goodness I have a wood stove and soon a reliable gen set to boot! I have a lil portable gas gen set, but what a pain in the arse, and pricey to run.

Yes indeed. That was a bad storm. All we got was a bit of lightning and lots of rain. Hope you weathered it well Dave.  ;D  More than once we have had neighbors show up in the winter saying that the power was off so they had no heat. Funny, we never notice!  :D
