Hello from Finland!

Here is my uncle's battery charger and one A-meter which is missing my Lister.

He promised Lister meter for me, if I can find another to replace this meter.

Unfortunately the meter has been little modified. Casing has been shortened and the front end is missing. Meter winding has been modified too.

I try restored A-meter look like original.  I'm going to cast a new front end, using a second A-meter's front end  as a model.

Here little more meter restoration pictures:

Complete meter inside the battery charger look like this:

Meter's body was cut, front end missing, dial and winding is modified.

Second and only original A-meter look like this:

First I must remove little bit material, from the original meter's body

Heres come repair piece:

Repair piece fitting:

And here repair piece is complete and glued:

a little grinding for body:

And sandblasting:

Then missing front end making:

Here is second meters original end for sample:

Original meter end sandblasted:

And here come cast:
The original meter end give form.

And what we can found from mold after job:

cast piece is cleande:

Here is the meters body now:

I must still paint it, cut glass and repair the winding.

To be continue...

Nice one Tatu  ;D

I can't even imagine 25 below, we have only had one or two frosts here on the west coast of Scotland. You certainly couldn't leave a control panel outside here or have a shed with no end on it. The wind rain and salt air would destroy them.

Cheers, Paul
