How much does it cost to export an engine to the US?
« on: April 12, 2006, 11:45:44 PM »
I've got a potential buyer for my SR1 asking how much it would cost to send the engine over to him.

I don't have a clue!

Anybody? (thinking Hotater might know ;))

cheers

steve

Once they get it loaded in their "car", take pictures.  This should be amusing.  Either they have a trailer, or it's not a car at all.

Finest regards,

That would make a cute cartoon.

Compact car with a 12-2 in the 'boot' with the 'bonnet' to the sky and no steering.  Still sitting, grounded in the yard where it was loaded and the kid in the back says, "Are we there yet?"
7200 hrs on 6-1/5Kw, FuKing Listeroid,
Currently running PS-Kit 6-1/5Kw...and some MPs and Chanfas and diesel snowplows and trucks and stuff.

Hot damn, the SR1 fits into the boot of a vauxhall cavalier  :o Mind you, it's only 2 foot tall which probably helps ;)

I once saw a Pontiac Acadian loaded with a ton of Cement and plywood in a parking lot near the mostly French speaking hamlet of Alban (the kind of place where family trees have very few branches). The suspension had colapsed before it could make it out of the lot some people are smart as a stone....
