Potter,

I just received an ST5 generator from that gentleman, and at first inspection it appears OK, at least similer to another ST5 I got a couple years ago and which is working fine.  I do take them apart for inspection and improvements.

This one is different in that the line connection terminals are located on the outside of the doghouse.

It will be awhile before I can hook it to an engine for testing.

potter,

The windings are copper.

I believe akakwo said they could ship from Nevada or Georga so one may be better for you.  Sounds like your outside the US if you have "duties"?

No problem with questions, ask away.

Buy a few of those cheap resistance strip heaters that mount to the baseboards of a room & keep yourself nice & toasty ;D

Thanks 12 Gauge its still doing fine, the terminals on the outside of the doghouse without a cover seems a bit dangerous but no more so than open flyweels, pullleys, and belts  :D
