I agree.  I want it and it's too far away.

I'm really amazed how much the Witte CD is like the Lister.  The lister with the green and brass simply wins the "pretty" show.

Interesting engine speed and HP, probably a special order job, the usual speed was 1000rpm and 7/8hp.

Single heavy flywheel suggests generator but may have been something else.

Perhaps you are thinking of the Witte AD, the Witte CD is a horizontal.

I'm sure you have better knowledge than I.  But you do see the similarities between the Lister CD and the Witte AD.  Yep, I just checked my photos and, you’re correct about the CD being the horizontal.  The Lister vs Witte:  Purdy vs Machismo.

Negative, every time I start to think that way, life comes along and reminds me how little I actually do know, humble pie and all that. I might have a bit of advantage on this particular topic though, as I have a (Witte) CD, and even when I turned it on end, it did not quite look like a Lister They are all lovely engines, painted and shiny, or rusted and grimy!
