benford dumper single cilinder 5.5hp

hiya, new to this forum and this week we have aquired a bedford dumper with a single cilinder lister diesel engine. the engine is mostly all there - the guy we bought it off had taken the engine apart as it was white-smoking.  but we need the gasket set and new piston rings before we can run it. the benford dumper is 2wd, non-hydrolic and is in quite good condition for its age - probably 1960's. ive been scouring this website but cant seem to find much in the way of a list of models ect of lister engines but any help is greatly appreciated.

The name of this site is slightly misleading as it predominantly only deals with genuine Lister CS and it's cloned derivitives.

sounds abit like you have an AVA1 engine in your dumper, lots of dumpers from that time where fitted with a PH1 or PH2.
if you are to get any bits make sure they arent mistaken.
evil bay has spares for your engine keep your eyes open.
