Has anyone ever heard of Kipor Diesel Generators?  Are they another Chinese knockoff?  My son is wanting to get a small, quiet diesel genset and was wondering what they are like?

Another Chinese Yanmar knockoff.  They have everything from the low-end looking generators that everyone else has, to highend looking units with auto-start, and electronic meters and all sorts of stuff like that.  Never seen or heard one run however.

Kipor sounds to me like something made in Israel.

They are one of the few inverter/generators I've seen offered on epay.  Those things approach diesel efficiency but only come in one or 2 kW max sizes as I've seen.  Depending on load they throttle way down huffing it only as needed.
-DIY 1.5L NA VW diesel genset - 9 kW 3-phase. Co-gen, dualĀ  fuel
- 1966, Petter PJ-1, 5 kW air cooled diesel standby lighting plant
-DIY JD175A, minimum fuel research genset.
-Changfa 1115
-6 HP Launtop air cooled diesel
-Want Lister 6/1
-Large DIY VAWT nearing completion
