anyone find starter for changfa 195?
« on: September 18, 2008, 04:55:43 AM »
Has anyone anywhere been able to find a starter for a Changfa 195 water cooled engine? I am in Alaska and need to get the starter so I can start the thing when it gets cold. Cranking is fun,, but I am getting lopsided.

You might give this guy a try. He sells Changfa 195's in Quebec Canada.
Other than that, I don't know anyone who imports them anymore.

His email is pat (at ) altopro (dot) ca

You will need a new flywheel with ring gear on it, a starter motor bracket and a starter motor.  The factory electric start option package also has a keyswitch and keyswitch mounting bracket.

I purchased a larger Changfa 1115 engine from Pat and it has the electric start package.  I would not order such an engine without it myself, mostly because I am not as young as I'd need to be to hand start this beast.
