AT the price if they work as advertised they are cheap.  Bought a new manifold for a Deere lately?  My brother (a master welder) will only do cast when the mood strikes, charges all the traffic will stand for, and gives no warranty.  I'll tell him about these and see what the reaction is............  Thanks for the tip.

Truth is I am one lol.

I remember the very first thing I ever read.
A can of Mushroom soup, I guess I was 9 or so, motivated by my stomach and a strong work ethic I am this modle of modern man you read about here today. All kidding aside if you work hard with a kid that needs a little help you realy can make a difference.

i dunno Doug

sometimes you try to help a kid, and you get bitten  :o

something like
no good deed goes unpunished!

but you gotta at least try i guess, sometimes you get bitten and later
the kid comes back to tell ya "thanks"

might be a while before i hear that one from my most recent effort :)

I've spent 30 years working with special needs kids, got bitten a few times, got thanked lots.  Best one was when this big thug walked into my classroom and I just about pushed the panic button when he said, I bet you don't remember me do you?  I said no and then he told me his name, that he was now out of jail, married with a kid and had started his own construction company.  He had driven for 5 hours to thank me and let me know "he done all right".  Made me all mushy all over.

They give me these kids to train.
I do my best.

At the end of the day no one was hurt and some work gets done I call it a success.....

They aren't special mind you all college educated. The just sound act and dress like they are special

Yah, the hardest kids to work with are the FAS kids (fetal alcohol syndrome).  Not their fault, but they can't relate to "human emotions" and exhibit a special type of anger surges.  Very difficult to handle.  I can't imagine how many wars were caused by this specific problem in the middle ages.  It surely was very widespread!

Stan:

then take that kid and mix in some pot, and with the anger issues add in a healthy dose of paranoia
and then look out!

no emotions, no moral compass, and paranoid
then subject them to severe abuse physical, mental and/or sexual

then you have all the makings of a real problem that is never going to be fixed
a ticking time bomb that in some cases causes alot of heartache for innocent bystanders.

and sometimes they rise up in power to become dictators, with all the finery that it entails
then they get syphylis and go untreated and it begins to eat away what little brain they have left.

heaven help us if they get bitten by a rabid animal as well.
of course by that time, maybe heaven should help the poor rabid animal he likely is going to be the one bitten.

You've got that right!  Too often they came from wealthy families and were destined for power despite the fact that they were totally insane, or whatever passed for that diagnosis in those days.  We're all lucky we survived as a species this far.  :P
