Wisconsin Ducati Diesels
« on: March 19, 2006, 02:40:51 AM »
I just bought two brand new single cylinder Wisconsin Diesel engines that were made by Ducati, anyone know anything about these? They look to be 9-11 horse power, cute hand crank models. They have a small taper output shaft about 1.5" long, and 3/4-1" diameter. I will be needing a coupler so I can use them on a small Diesel Motorbike. Any help or ideas?

I am intrigued by your description of the ducati/wisconsin, but I can't get your link to work.

Try again?

Thanks,

Thank you, I've been hand polishing one, one I will leave alone. They were still brand new old stock. I'd like to find and install one in a Cushman scooter and run it on a blend of nut oil and Bio-Diesel. My Cummins runs on a steady diet of a blend of local nut oils. I'm in need of a output shaft adater so I can install a belt torque converyer. Any suggestions? The fuel tank has "Wisconsin Diesel" imprinted into the metal and the Ducati casting was ground off. The above hyper link, just left click and go as I was able to post a picture on that web site.  Smokestak.com  See: http://www.smokstak.com/forum/index.php

I really couldn't tell you, while looking for information on these engines; I was referred to this web site. See:  http://davlinwiscon.tripod.com/

Dave there told me they were quite rare and non-existent. He seemed rather surprised that I happened to come across two still bolted to the original pallets. I guess they are now collector engines.

Good luck
