Never been a prospector myself.

But if I had the choice I would probably hault the pitch blend over say eat a Coleman lantern mantle or lick the radium dial off my pocket watch.
There are place like pickle lake where the ore is very rich and does pose a risk to human health.

Cognos...I agree and the environmentalists that are presently trying to convince the americans not to buy the oil sands oil are crazy if they think it will make any diffeence.  If the Americans don't want to buy the oil, the Chinese are more than willing to do it, or the Indians or anybody else in the world just as soon as it's loaded on tankers, out it will go.  Exxon or Shell or any of the big multinationals don't care where they sell it, just how much they can get for it and how much it will cost to ship it.

Sorry, we don't own it any more.  Alberta has sold it lock stock and barrel to the big multi nationals and they can do whatever they want with it.  Sorry, I shouldn't single out Alberta, BC and Sask have "sold out" too.  >:(
