interesting read about pressing your own fuel.

Not sure if anyone has seen this yet but it made for a bit of an interesting read.

I was interested in the part about heating the seeds prior to pressing them to get that little extra oil out.  That's pre-pre-heating I guess.

A thought of mine is to retire as an 'oil' farmer.
Ideally I can make a living off it otherwise it's all for self consumption.

You know what Stan.

I used to be such an easy going fellow with a relaxed attitude towards that sort of thing, and when it was just old hippies in the hill doiung it then who cares.
But now we have organized crime and gangs involved and a considerable level of violence abd murder connected too it.
I'm not sure if I would be so angered, offended, horrified at the idea of goverment death squads driving around shooting thier homes full of bullets and disapearing gang leaders.....

What has happened to this country?

They got rid of that particular problem (gangs and maryjane) in Holland by simply letting everyone grow up to 5 plants of their own.  Killed the demand overnight, price dropped to zero, gangs moved on to the good stuff like prostitution, bootleg liquor, identity theft,  hard drugs, bribing politicians etc.  There'll always be something illegal, and it will always be a big moneymaker.

It has been mentioned more than once that if the hells angels were smart (and there's absolutely no reason to not assume they are) they are lobbying (isn't that the polite word for bribery?) very hard to keep the laws against possession of mary jane on the books.

This is so funny, the BBC site has a story of a new law in the Netherlands banning the use of tobacco (I think just in public places) however the cafes that serve marijuana will be still allowed to serve and sell joints, but only if they contain no harmful tobacco  Gotta love it  ;D
