What's the correct crank pin diameter on a 6/1?
« on: March 17, 2008, 11:04:13 PM »
I know I've seen it in print somewhere, but now that I want it, I can't find it...

The crank journal diameter on my 'roid 6/1 measures 2.498". I measured it in a bunch of places and from a bunch of directions, and it actually appears to be round and without any taper. The surface finish is a little rough and could use a little polishing, but it's not too bad.

Is 2.498" a happy number?

Thanks!
Steve

Mac,
I've got info from the local Lister dealer which says 2.4980- 2.4975. I've never had a "tenths" mike though!
I'd imagine the 'roids are the same.

Cheers,

Brian

Remember that there are earlier bearings that are smaller on Lister engines, always check diameters before buying bearings.
