I am well impressed with that silencer. I built an underground silencer with concrete blocks but still needed a lorry silencer before i was happy. As for getting the heat from the exhaust i just dont see that the effort is worth it.Heat is easier to get from other means. I will use the heat for fuel processing thou.

Thanks for posting that silencer video. That thing works great!
That's exactly what I was looking for when I posed the question of underground mufflers.
(before you guys got off track with that looney, tooney, british pound, quid thingy!!)

Anyway, I plan to attempt the same thing for my Chanfa generator.

 Anybody think the same setup would work on the intake side? It would have to be three or so inch piping to keep from creating a vacuum condition.
