Anywhere near Bala? We were up there for the Cranberry Festival a couple of years ago. Stayed at the Cranberry Cove Resort.
Was your power off for three days during the August 2003 blackout?

Cranberry Marsh Cove is a customer for our Wireless Internet service. Know it well...

Bala seems like a nice spot. Noticed some stores including the grocery on main street changed names and/or changed ownership. The locals were telling us that Sars, falling US dollar and 911 cut tourist numbers down to 1/4 to 1/3 of those in the good old days.

I was without Ontario Hydro power for 3 days....but i made Tugger power instead...used generators, batteries, invertors and the bbq...
Watched the cars line up for over a mile to get to the gas station(only one in the village)...i started calling it the appocolypse and shared cheesedogs and cold drinks with the nieghbours...

Sounds like the perfect place to put the mother inlaw. If that doesn't work, pipe the exhaust into the ac duct.

hi all! i'm new here and just was wondering where most people on this message board are from. just curious, i guess.

Springtown Texas. Two stoplights and about 12 miles from a town with a Walmart and dialup is as fast as the local wireless system. They were out of service a 15 days last month, a few days of that because they couldn't pay their bill to the city for the antenna on the water tower. I am now on dialup and much happier.

Hey Bob....Kimberley has only 1 stoplight.  HOwever, we just got a new left turn lane arrow on it and the city is going to declare a holiday in honour of it.  ::)

I was born and lived just south of Tampa bay. We had three hurricanes come close in one year but never lost a shingle. My boat was in Port Charlotte when another one went up the harbor. I had a leaf plugging the deck drain. I figure my luck was running out and got out while the getting was good..
