Maby the Indian made headgasket won't fit that perfect on a lister head
However I ordered the modified headgasket from [url=http://www.listergaskets.com
www.listergaskets.com[/url], I will inform you guys if this works better.

Sorry about the reference to sleeve projection; I dont have the luxury of genuine Lister status,  ;) but I do have the option of replacing sleeves. ;D

true true  ;D I had the option to rechrome the cilinders but that is very expensive here in Holland..! around €400,- for each cilinder!  :o
So I had to buy 2 new ones, which fit good and so does the piston.

I already got an reply back from listergaskets.com saying they have received my payment and will send the package tommorow  :)

I just received the package, well wrapped into cardboard and foil + fast delivery and even cheap!
The gaskets look neat, so I hope they work just as well as they look!  :D

This afternoon we will reassemble the engine agian and first put the cooling-part under pressure to see if there are no leaks.
Then hookup the cooling, fire-up the engine and then slowly let it run for a while
So I hope to post some video's soon  ::)

I look forward to your video and hearing how your gasket worked out. Just about ready to order some 4.75 in bore head gaskets and wanted to hear your report first.
GTC 20/2 down rated to 850 rpm - ST 15
Metro 6/1 800 rpm on cart - ST 7.5

The gaskets seems to work better, altough we still had some whater pooring trough 2 studs. But not as much with the copper gaskets.
Also we applied a littlebit of liquidgasket wich can be used between the cilinder and head. Maby it was not dry yet after an hour.

The problem with the governor is not yet sorted.. all the external parts are now moving just fine.
But it seems that the flyweights are still a bit stuck. Some times the governer does regulate the speed and then it doesnt.. It still not functioning correctly, so we are trying to take the flywheel off and have a look inside the governorhouse upcomming monday.

You can watch the first video's in my channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/creaflip

This may not apply to the original Lister but I think it is a possibility for the coolant to be getting into the stud hole via the bottom of the cylinder casting gasket.

Welcome back!
Good to see the boat in the water and to hear the Lister! Great job on the boat and engine! Anyone watching this should look at the earlier threads.
Get her out ,take on a tow to load up the engine and see if it does not govern better after several hours.
