springs for brush gear
« on: August 12, 2007, 04:24:44 AM »
we'e decided to replace the springs on the AC brush gear

local garage still stocks springs even in this day and age - so we'll try them first

Got a coupla other places lined up in the big smoke, should they not meet requirements...

Any one got any rule of thumb hints on tesion?

we still have the two "original" [read "previous"] springs for comparison

the DC ones are smaller and seem to have aged gracefully

kitchen table almost cleared for the job....
