Lister CS Plans Original drawings?
« on: July 18, 2007, 04:06:12 PM »
Folks are there plans or drawings available that give construction details of the Lister CS? I am assuming that in India they copied the original (apologizes if that was not the case).

Without an original to copy the sizes from are there drawings available that would allow you to make a clone from scratch? I am toying with an idea for a small engineering shop but would have to look into the copyright and licence issues. i will try and contact the company of course with the idea (are they still available?) but I would love to be able to make a CS as well as the original. Yes I could just buy one or find a second hand one (like hens teeth here in Northern Ireland) but as I have a small foundry, machine shop and lots of time I thought it would make a fun project.

Any ideas?

George

I hope this is the right forum if not I am happy to move it....

George,

Here's probably the best place to start:

Read the book and you'll know about as much as can be known about these engines...and why the drawings aren't available.
