Sorry if this has been mentioned before
So
my lister Gen head is 50 yrs old
it has been sitting for at least 10yrs
we've taken an end off to reveal the brushes - still in good nick
all manner of cobwebs etc - we'll get the air line on to that
but there seems to be a carbon residue all thru it
can I sleuce it in meths safely ?
any other non "shorting" cleaning fluid recomended
yes -we are lazily trying to avoid a major overhaul
or apply the leave well alone principle
other than the insect dross - we know the last coupla owners
is carbon residue that common or that big a deal ?
