Cooling
« on: February 03, 2007, 06:08:56 AM »
Just wondering, instead of a cooling tank , How about a 10 foot baseboard heater 3/4 inch pipe with the small cooling fins attached to it ?with a burp tank,Like they use on a normal home heating unit? Would this be feasible? Cool the lister and provide some basic domestic heat? Anybody? (Open system) would I need a circulator pump?  Anybody tried this yet?  Brian :-\
Moving to newfie.....

You would need a wter pump if you set it up with anything BUT a smooth even rise from the water outlet on the engine, followed by a smooth even downward run from the "cooling system".  If you have any hills or valleys , thermosiphon won't work!!!!   This is a law of nature and cannot be circumvented, unlike a law of government ;D
