6/1 Footprint
« on: January 30, 2007, 05:49:14 AM »
Could one you fine gentlemen tell me the width of the base of a 6/1 at the outside edges of the mounting mounting bolt tabs ? (This would be the widest point of the engine base measuring along a line parallel to the crankshaft.)

If you can't measure this, could you tell me the distance from the center of the mounting holes to the outside edge of the mounting tab? Even a rough measurement would be appreciated.

I have a drawing which gives the front to back distance across the base as 18-1/2", but it doesn't tell me how wide the base of the engine is.

Thanking you in advance.

Best regards,

I'll check the crankcase in the workshop tonight and post the dimension.

As the 10/2 is next door to it, I'll checkj that as well in case anyone needs that info for later.

I'll also put the dim's onto the drawings on the website.

Hotater:

Thanks for the dimensions. Apparently I don't have the right drawing.

It looks like I had better not cut any steel until I have the actual Listeroid in hand.

Too bad, I was hoping to have the frame all ready to go by the time I got the engine.
